1. Who we are

This policy is issued by AI Finance Partners Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17128529.

We are a CIMA Member in Practice (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.

We are the publisher of:

• KEEP · UK salary calculator. Free.
• FORM · sole trader versus limited company decision tool. Free.
• KNOW · full UK personal finance app. Paid one off purchase.

The apps are available as web tools at theaifd.co.uk and as native applications on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

2. What data we collect

None that identifies you.

You enter figures into KEEP, FORM and KNOW. Salary, profit, pension contributions, mortgage balance, property values and similar. Those figures are processed entirely on your own device and stored in your device's local storage (commonly called localStorage in browsers, or app local storage on Android and iOS).

We do not transmit those figures anywhere. We do not see them. We do not have a server they could be sent to.

What that means in practice

• No accounts or registration is required.
• No usernames, email addresses or passwords are stored by us.
• No analytics or telemetry is collected from your use of the apps.
• No third party tracking pixels, advertising identifiers or session recorders are present.
• No data is shared with HMRC, your accountant, or any other party. If you want that, you would have to copy figures out manually.

3. The one exception: opt in newsletter

If you choose to sign up to our Friday Five newsletter at theaifd.co.uk, we collect your email address. Only your email address. We use it to send you the weekly newsletter and to respond if you reply to one of our emails.

The newsletter is delivered by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a US based provider. Your email is stored on their UK and EU compliant infrastructure. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

If you have signed up and want your email deleted entirely, contact us at the address below and we will remove it within 7 days.

4. Cookies and similar technology

None essential to track you. The apps themselves set no cookies.

The Friday Five sign up form on theaifd.co.uk may set a single technical cookie required to make the form work. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

If you use the website aifinancepartners.co.uk, we do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any other behavioural advertising tracker. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner will appear.

5. Why we built it this way

Finance data is sensitive. Salary, pension balance, mortgage details and tax calculations are not things we want to know about you. They are not things we want to be responsible for storing. They are not things we want any third party to see, ever.

The simplest way to make those guarantees real is to not collect the data in the first place. So we did not. The apps are designed to operate entirely on your own device and to not interface with any other app, server or web service while you are using them.

6. Data security

We take data security extremely seriously. So seriously that we built the apps so the question barely applies.

Where your figures actually live

Every number you type into KEEP, FORM or KNOW is stored only in your device's local storage. In a browser this is called localStorage. On Android and iOS it is called app local storage. In every case it means the same thing: the data is held on the physical device you are using and nowhere else.

Your figures never travel over the internet. They are not uploaded to a server. They are not synced to a cloud. They are not backed up to anywhere we control. They are not transmitted to any third party.

If you close the app and reopen it tomorrow on the same device, your figures are still there. If you uninstall the app, they are gone. If you clear your browser data, they are gone. There is no copy anywhere else we could give you.

How this protects you

• No remote server breach risk. We do not have a server holding your data, so there is nothing for an attacker to breach.
• No insider risk. No employee or contractor of ours can access your figures. We cannot access them ourselves.
• No third party processor risk. We do not pass your figures to any other company for any reason.
• No cross device leakage. Your figures on your phone do not appear on your laptop. By design.
• No "AI training" risk. Your inputs are never used to train any machine learning model, ours or anyone else's.

Architectural choices behind this

• The apps run entirely client side. No backend server is involved during normal use.
• The apps make no outbound network requests once loaded. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools.
• No analytics SDK, tracking pixel or remote logging library is integrated.
• No third party API is called with your data.
• HTTPS is used for the initial app download and for the small static assets the apps load. Once loaded, the apps do not transmit your figures.

Your responsibility

Because the data lives on your device, the security of that device matters. Lock your phone. Use a strong password on your laptop. If you share a device, sign out or clear the app data when you are done. The strongest privacy architecture we can give you cannot help if your phone is unlocked on a train.

7. Your rights under UK GDPR

Because we do not hold personal data about you (other than newsletter subscribers, see section 3), most of the standard data subject rights have no data to act on. That is by design.

For newsletter subscribers, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you (just your email address)
• Have it corrected if it is wrong
• Have it deleted at any time
• Object to its use
• Request a copy in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

8. Children

The apps are not designed for or directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect any data about minors.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the apps work in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. For material changes that would affect existing newsletter subscribers, we will email you.

10. Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
